In July we invited concept artists of all levels from all over the world to join in our 2018 Atomhawk Art Challenge and to amaze us with their interpretation of the theme: “Into the Void”.
This is the second year running we’ve run an Art Challenge of this kind and were astounded to receive an amazing 198 entries.
After much deliberation, our judges have finally made a decision on the winners and runners up, all of whom will receive a selection of goodies courtesy of Atomhawk and our partners Wacom and Sumo Digital.
Our judges loved the story-telling and detail in Morten’s image and his take on the competition’s theme. Please check out more of Morten’s work at www.artstation.com/mortensolgaard
The judges liked the mysterious mood of the image, with the eye in the background adding to the story-telling and drawing the viewer into contemplating what might happen next. Check out more of Atiligan’s work at www.asikuzun.com
The judges were impressed by the cinematic style, story-telling and mood of the image and also liked the use of colour. See more of Lorenz’s work at www.artstation.com/hideyoshi
Morten is now the proud owner of a Cintiq Pro 13 and Atiligan and Lorenz will receive an Intuos Pro and Intuos, all courtesy of our very generous friends at Wacom. All three will also gain a portfolio review from one of our senior artists, access to Sumo Digital’s brilliant Snake Pass game and a host of other Atomhawk goodies.
Honourable mentions also go to: Andrea De Dominicis, Bruno Wall and Christopher Cyr for some great work that also made it onto the judges’ short list.
Thank you to everyone who got involved with this year’s Challenge and we look forward to seeing more great work from all of you in the future!
