Atomhawk 2025: creativity, collaboration & commitment

A letter from Atomhawk leadership:

2025 has been a year of change, challenge, resilience and creativity for Atomhawk. The games industry is evolving faster than ever; new technologies, shifting development models, and rising expectations have all kept us on our toes. But through it all, one thing has remained constant: our passion for creating world-class art and design for our incredible partners.

This year, we united our teams into one integrated studio, strengthening cross discipline collaboration and delivering amazing work on projects like Age of Mythology: Retold, Madden 25 and 26, Overwatch 2, and Warframe. We were proud to again partner with some of the biggest names in the industry: EA, Blizzard Entertainment, Ghost Story Games, Microsoft, Sharkmob, Zynga, Unknown Worlds, Daybreak Game Company, NetherRealm Studios, and more.

We’ve also been shaping the future of visual development, investing heavily in Research & Development and learning, which has bolstered our internal training programme. We pushed boundaries with projects like Nakatomi, exploring rapid, high-fidelity world-building in-engine.

Looking ahead to 2026, our mission is clear: to be the go-to creative innovation partner for games. We’ll continue to embrace change, explore new technologies, and deliver AAA-quality content with the same creativity and care that has always defined Atomhawk.

Thank you to our clients, partners, and incredible team.

Here’s to an exciting 2026.

— Becky and Eddie

Navigating change through innovation

Rapid advancements in technology are reshaping how games are made. Atomhawk is meeting these changes head-on through exploratory R&D, continuous learning, and production excellence.

Our internal project Nakatomi, showcased in partnership with ArtStation, exemplifies this approach. A retro-futuristic vertical metropolis, Nakatomi was designed to test Concept 2.0: rapid, high-fidelity world-building in-engine. These workflows are not just experiments, they’re future-ready solutions we’re already sharing with clients.

Investing in people amid industry shifts

In a challenging market, talent development is critical. Internal training equips Hawks with advanced skills in art, design, and production, ensuring we stay ahead of evolving tools and techniques. This initiative, part of our Osprey programme, reflects our belief that adaptability and learning are the keys to thriving in a changing industry.

Production excellence in an unpredictable market

Delivering over 100 projects this year, our production team has been a pillar of stability for clients navigating uncertainty. By integrating Forecast, a powerful project management tool, we’ve enhanced transparency, resource planning, and reporting, ensuring projects remain robust and predictable even in volatile conditions.
